What Steps To Take...

Step 1. Please know that God loves you and created you to know Him personally.

"For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him."  John 3:16-17

Step 2. Man is sinful and sin separates us from God, so we cannot know Him personally or experience His love.

"For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard."  Romans 3:23 

Man was created to have fellowship with God; but because of his own self-will (an attitude of what the Bible calls sin), man chose to go his own way, and fellowship was broken. 

Step 3. God bridged the gulf between Himself and man by sending His son Jesus to die on a cross for your sins.

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.  Romans 5:8

Step 4. You must choose to individually accept Jesus Christ as your payment for sin, and ask Him into your heart.

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.  John 1:12

Step 5. You can receive Christ right now by faith through a simple prayer. Here is a suggested prayer:

Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me the kind of person you want me to be. 

IF YOU PRAYED THIS PRAYER, YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD! CONGRATULATIONS!

TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP
